About Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance
Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (SLU) is a public full time general higher education institution offering distinctive accounting and finance programs. It was formed in June 2016 by amalgamating Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce and Shanghai Finance University. The university traces its roots back to the Lixin education founded by Dr. Pan Xulun, a renowned educator, accounting expert and the "father of modern accounting in China" in 1928. Running for around 100 yeas, it has been hailed as one of the birthplaces of modern accounting education in China and the cradle of future financiers. In 2022, School of Business and Administration was awarded full accreditation of five years by AACSB international.
SLU currently has three campuses in Pudong, Songjiang and Xuhui respectively, covering an area of more than 1,200 mu (about 800,000 square meters). There are more than 19,000 full-time students in the university, including over 370 graduate students. The university has 3 master degree programs and 40 undergraduate majors. There are more than 1,630 faculty and staff members, among whom over 1,240 are full time teachers. More than 460 full time teachers have senior professional titles, and over 700 full-time teachers have doctoral degrees.
